Going Dutch is rolling out during 2027 with one goal: to bring Dutch classics to Finland through food we love making. Enjoy fries with authentic Dutch sauces, sweet and savory waffles, and familiar Dutch bites from our family trailer. Each stop is a chance to share flavors, laughter, and small moments that matter.
What We Serve
Freshly made sweet and savory waffles with a Dutch twist (think about waffle topped with Hutspot* or waffle Chicken Satay**) and seasonal ingredients, classic Dutch snacks, fries topped with authentic sauces, and mini pancakes. All served at reasonable prices for a workday lunch, a quick diner, or a snack break. Every bite reflects traditional Dutch flavors, crafted simply and served with warmth and care.
* Hutspot, a traditional Dutch mash of potato, carrot, and onion, eaten for centuries and still loved today.
** Chicken Satay is skewered, grilled chicken served with rich peanut sauce, a favorite in Dutch cuisine.
Handcrafted with Care
Crispy hand-cut fries, waffles from our own batter, and warm mini pancakes are all made by hand from the finest ingredients. Each item brings a taste of the Netherlands, prepared with attention and love.
The Story Behind Going Dutch
When Ton moved to Finland many years ago, he missed the flavors of his childhood in the Netherlands. With a little extra time to do something fun together as a family, now is the perfect moment to bring these Dutch classics to life.
Marje and the boys help whenever they can, making every stop a small family adventure. The Dutch Smile is more than snacks...it is about sharing joy, bringing people together, and leaving a little happiness behind with every bite.

Our home base is Vihti in Southern Finland. Going Dutch is planned to start rolling out across the country during 2027, visiting festivals, markets, Christmas openings, food events, and other special locations.
